Installing SMART Notebook Software
One SMART Board or SMART product = 1,000 licenses!
Install SMART Notebook Software on your computer, your lab computers, your home computer, your students' computers...everyone can use it!
Step 1: Obtain your product key
Identify the serial number of your SMART product (Click here for help finding the serial number on your product)
Under SMART Notebook, click the arrow next to Choose a product. Select the appropriate option from the list (Windows, Mac, etc.)
On the following page, click the down arrow next to the Download heading to expand that section. Then click the blue download button to being downloading the software.
Updating Your Notebook Software
If you have already installed Notebook software on you computer, you will want to check for updates to make sure you have the latest version of the software with the latest bells, whistles and cool stuff!
Make sure your computer is connected to the internet before beginning this process. There are two ways to update your software:
From inside Notebook Software
1. Click on Help in the menu bar at the top, and then select Check for Updates.
From your Desktop
1. Locate the SMART Notification icon in your system tray in the bottom right-hand corner of your desktop (next to date and time):
(Don't panic - the red x only means that your computer is not connected to a SMART Board, everything else will work correctly!)
2. Click the icon, then select Check for Updates from the menu.
With both methods, after you click Check for Updates, you will see a list of all installed SMART software and it will go search for updates. If the Update button becomes active next to any of items on the list, click to install the update.
